Introduction: LEGO + Flowers = Fun Learning!
Looking for a creative way to teach your children about plants while keeping them engaged? This LEGO flower building activity is perfect for home education, preschool play, or a rainy afternoon. We used LEGO bricks to explore the parts of a flower — stem, leaves, petals, and seeds — and created a range of simple, colourful flower designs.
Plus, I’ve included a free printable worksheet so your little builders can follow along and design their own LEGO flowers at home.
Learning Benefits of LEGO Flower Building
This activity isn’t just fun — it’s packed with early years learning opportunities:
Science – Learn the parts of a flower and their functions.
Fine motor skills – Click, stack, and adjust LEGO bricks to strengthen hand muscles.
Creativity – Encourage original designs beyond the examples.
Problem-solving – Work out how to balance petals, build height, and keep flowers sturdy.
Early maths – Count bricks, compare heights, and talk about symmetry.
